Purpose
The National Civil Society Fair 2011 is a mode of citizen participation and interaction with and amongst the CSOs/NGOs, private sector, Government, academia and beneficiaries; and it brings people together for a period of 1-3 days. It involves workshops, interactive displays, panel discussions and a networking café.
The 2010 edition will run for three (3) days from 6th-7th June 2011. The fair is being organized as part of the taking stock of the country’s MDGs campaign (+10MDGs) and the Civil Society /NGO contribution to the development process of Uganda.
The Uganda Civil Society Fair is an annual civil society event organized by the Commonwealth Association –Uganda (CPAUG) in partnership with other actors like;- Uganda National NGO Forum, BDE Consults, Friends of the Commonwealth-Uganda MUK Chapter, Elmot Ltd among others.
Its envisaged that by 2013 the Fair will become a regional event in the East African Community at the country level all aimed at building a CSO-Public –Private Partnership (CPPP) Model.
Purpose of the Fair is to build a critical mass of CSOs to further the MDGs campaign in Uganda beyond +10MDGs through CSO-Public -Private Partnership.
